Worldview Teen Track

At Worldview Teen Track, your child will be challenged to think hard about their faith and how it applies to the modern predicament. Students ages 13 and above are treated like real people who wrestle with real issues — and who need answers that match the real world. Parents always welcome to attend, too.

Catie Frates – Examine the evidence, or lack thereof, for human evolution by taking an exciting journey back in time. Explore the extraordinary accomplishments of ancient man, solve many Biblical and secular mysteries, and learn exciting facts like where Cain got his wife, how ancient man could live so long, and much more. Dr. Bob Moeller – A Life of Hard Work or Entitlement Support? The Judeo-Christian Worldview Case for Diligence over Dependency. As the entitlement mindset grows stronger by the day in our society, it’s vital that we know the God-ordained design for fulfillment, purpose and productivity in life is through the gift of hard work. Dependency on the other hand, ultimately denies us our sense of dignity, the realization of our true potential, and the rewards of unselfish diligence.

Adventure back into the fearsome conditions the flood left in its  wake as earth reeled for hundreds of years from the cataclysmic judgment. You’ll never be stumped by hard questions about these issues again!

Chris Kustusch -Making the Most of Your College Experience:
In today’s changing world, one of the most valuable commodities is an education – specifically a college degree. The college experience proves an interesting challenge for both parents and students. Chris Kustusch will discuss how to make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime experience, from planning which tests to take, to helping figure out your major. Packed with helpful tips, this is a must for both students who are approaching college and their parents.

Nicholas Jarmusz – Teen Texting and Driving / AAA Research shows that texting is one of the most dangerous forms of distraction in which a driver can engage, and teens are among the most dedicated users of this technology.  Teens – generally speaking – greatly overestimate their ability to “multi-task,” and are less likely to see texting as a real threat to their safety.  AAA uses a state-of-the-art virtual driving simulator to recreate the experience of texting while driving, so that teens can see for themselves just how much this distraction impacts their ability to safely control the vehicle.  Presentation includes 10-min documentary that chronicles the experiences of 4 teens who’s lives where forever changed by texting related crashes.

Take advantage of social media tools.  Learn to use a Press Release, cover letter and dealer term sheets. Ann shares from personal experience the steps she took when creating and promoting her first project from beginning to end, as well as the many things learned along the way. Ann’s 18 year old son, Dustin (owner of ClassAMedia.com) will be on hand to answer questions and encourage the listener to shoot for their dreams and never give up.
